So, the iPhone 7 recently hit the market, and it was met with quite a mixed opinion. Why, I'll explain, but first I need to clarify that these are my OPINIONS, nothing but OPINIONS, so don't criticize my OPINIONS. Now, why has this iPhone been hit with such controversy.
With some research, I think it is because of the changes. The new iPhone isn't bad, nor is it even dropping near the "meh... it's good, but it could be better," level. The new iPhone is great, but it is the changes that people are focused on. Most of the changes make the phone better, but one is specifically controversial. The absence of the headphone jack, I'm looking at you. Now, I can see that people would be miffed with that, thinking that they can't ever use headphones again. Well, Apple has offered a multitude of solutions for this issue, and there are others on the market. The new (and totally awesome) AirPods offer a wireless experience with the sound of standard earphones. More accessible are the standard Apple headphones, which connect via the Lightning Port, and the Lightning to mini-jack adapter. Both are included in the box with the iPhone. Now, you may say "What if I want to charge my phone while I'm listening to music?" And I say that there are many market solutions, an example being the iLDOCK, which is an adapter plugged into the Lightning Port that terminates into a mini-jack and a Lightning Port. Click HERE to back it on Kickstarter. So, you have been schooled on the headphone jack problem. Other changes on the iPhone 7 include: New colors, 12 MP camera(s) for better low-light and DOF effects, new memory - 32G-256G, 25% brighter screen, A10 Fusion Chip, the Home Button isn't a button, better Taptic engine, stereo sound, and lots of other things that make this iPhone great. So please, stop yelling at Apple, the S model is coming out in about a year anyway if you are so dissatisfied with the immense quality and technology that the iPhone 7 presents. And those were my opinions (and whatnot).
