Sorry this blog was late to be released; I was away from a computer during Winter Break.

Good day, everyone. It's me, Carter Gleason, back with another edition of "The Update Thing!" This month, the season started for my basketball team, school is going well, and obviously, the main event of December: Christmas.

First off, in the first section of this glorious update blog, I'll talk about my normal life and we'll save Christmas until the end of the writing. Well, in school, everyone is quite excited about the upcoming Winter Break, which is quite a bit shorter this year; only a week and five days compared to last years two weeks and two days. As of me writing this, most of our learning of 2016 has ceased and we are preparing for our first semester tests and exams.

Skip to January! Sorry, I was away from a computer during Winter Break, now writing this on January fourth! Well, I enjoyed my Christmas. I was very surprised to get what I wanted from my parents. Most notably, I gained possession of an Apple Watch. I was so very excited to receive this as it has been my want for almost six months now. I also got many Amazon gift cards and bought myself an MX Master gaming mouse from Logitech. Yay! Overall, I am very happy about my Christmas.

NYE was very good. My family ate with friends at a fondue restaurant called the Melting Pot. I got to drink fake champagne and celebrate NYE with my friends.
